'Does anyone else have issues with their Torch? After 30 days of use it started with not responding to keys that I touched and flashed to another mode I did not ask for. The folks at an AT&T store said that smart phones needed to be re-booted once a week sometimes. So I removed the battery and rebooted it. Now it freezes up on me every 3 days and AT&T told me that I had 30 days to return it if I didn't like it and it was 90 days, so I was stuck. I told the woman multiple times it was doing something way beyond me "not liking it" it was causing me to pull over on the road to pull it apart when trying to call patients on the road. They told me that time to get to another phone and they would call me back in 2 hours so we could test it the torch. I waited at home till late in the evening finally going to bed and never got a call till a computer called me the next morning and apologized.
What I want to know is if the phone is broken or am I doing something wrong. I do not like this phone for many reasons and it was my first smart phone. I keep thinking maybe I was not at the level for a smart phone. Please feel free to gripe about your torch......

I hate this phone!!! I'm always getting the wrong mode popping up. If I set it down I have to cautiously put it down very carefully or apps will come on or the camera will come on. It sucks up a lot of data usage just by checking emails or receiving them, and the battery power has a very short lifespan. I check my emails a few times and then my battery is down to 60%! I make a call to a business where I have to use the dialpad to press 1 or 2, etc. or enter acct #'s or other numerical information, and I get this horrible noise in my ear like a fax machine and it enters the wrong number. I make a personal call and sometimes it does that if I have my ear too close to the phone. Sometimes the WIFI comes on when I'm out of the house, which I don't want, especially in a public place where other people could capture the signal. And forget putting a call on speaker - hah! The call gets disconnected. I don't use the Internet on it because I hate it, but I can't delete it. The monthly bill is higher now, much outrageously higher, all because I have a "smart"phone - and the early termination fee for this phone is disgusting!!! I'm close to canceling ATT&T completely and going to my husband's Cricket account, but I have 9 months to go on this contract and we shouldn't have to practically apply for a loan so we can pay this termination fee!!!!!

I had this phone for a week, and with the amount of the email, and texting I do the keyboard drove me crazy. Long story short I returned the phone, and switched to Android which does everything the torch can do but does it proper with a bigger keyboard.
I don't know why BB didn't look at the Android devices before making the torch had BB taken a look at the Android devices the Torch would have turned to be a great device with a larger touch keyboard, and other stuff.
Another fail by BB I was heavily disappointed coming from a Bold 9700.

AT&T is way behind releasing OS upgrades. Take a look at the blackberryOS.com forum and post your issue there. It will be handled by the knowledgeable staff members there. It's free to join and free to get answers to your issues.
