I know this probably sounds like I am stupid, but this phone is completely new to me...can someone help me create a text, find my old texts, etc...thanks.

Go to the blackberry official website. they have tutorials on the devices. this way you can do a walk through of your phone. and learn all kinds of neat tips and tricks. and also learn if there is updates to your software

To create a text message: hit the BB menu key, Messages, hit the BB menu key again,scroll to and select "Compose SMS", from this field, you can type your message, and who you want to send it to, then hit the BB menu key again, scroll to, and select "Send". Once you hit send, your message will be sent........ Your old text messages that you have sent or received will be in this same "Message" folder...........
