Hello friends, I'm about as green as grass to this networking business though I have 40 years in voice so I have a piece of an idea how it works. Can someone walk me step by step in configuring my 2Wire and Cisco Linksys as a access point to give me better coverage. I have seen posts but I know so little about what they speak. Oh my Router is a 2Wire 3801HGV and the old router is a Linksys WRT160N v2. Thanking all in advance.

Hi,
The following link has a manual for your router: http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers
The only option I see that should help the wireless signal is under Wireless -> Advanced settings - Make sure that the "Frame Burst" is enabled. There really isn't anything to change on the modem if you aren't connecting to it wirelessly but instead using the Linksys router. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you,
JustinF
