I have a friend who wants to use a wireless router with his existing AT&T internet service. How well does AT&T modems play with 3rd Party routers? Where can I obtain the configuration info for the wireless router? I was just going to pull the Gateway,Subnet and DNS servers from his PC but I'm not sure that will work.
Thanks in advance!

It would depend on what modem/gateway he has, and what third-party router he has, and what exactly is he trying to accomplish by using the third-party router. It's not usually too difficult if your somewhat experienced.
