My 2WIRE U-Verse router is fairly limited when it comes to controls. My linksys router on the other hand, allows for all the control I need. . . and then some.
How do I configure my 2WIRE router to happily work with my linksys router?

Hi,
Connect one of the LAN ports of the 2wire to the Linksys Internet/WAN Port. Set the Linksys Connection Type to DHCP and run your devices from the Linksys. The second router will require a different subnet. For example if the 2wire has address of 192.168.1.1 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0, the second router should have a different address like 192.168.2.1 with subnet 255.255.255.0.
Note, if you need port forwarding from the internet to the LAN of the Linksys router, you have to configure the same forwardings on the 2wire router as well. You forward first from the first router to the second and then from the second into the LAN.
Thank you
