I am having some issues with my printer > CPU connection. It is very confusing to me, and I don't know how to handle this. They are connected via WiFi. This is an industrial type printer and it used in a church. I need to scan a document to the computer, but the machine keeps giving me a "Server Connection Error" message. I already called the company for the machine and they walked me through all the setup, config, and connections, and it seems to be connected properly, and even, I do not have an issue with printing from my computer to the copier. It just won't scan from the copier to the computer. For this to happen, I need to have a shared folder set up for the Homegroup network, where the machine can deposit the scans. However, the computer will not allow me to share the folder. There are 3 computers on the network, and it is the same with all of them. It gives me the message that there are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper. Someone suggested that I may need more permissions to accomplish this, however, I am the admin on my, and all, computers in the office.
Any ideas or help? Please! As I need the scanner!!
Thank you in advance!!
Holly

What make/model printer do you have? What operating systems on the computers?
Most AIO printers (printer, copier, scanner, fax) require software on each individual computer to access scanner functions. The software setup will probably create the folder you need. Also, if your AIO has a memory card reader, you should be able to stick a cheap memory card in there and direct the scanner to store the scans on the memory card. Then, you can either access the memory card as a networked drive while it's still in the printer, or carry the memory card to the computer if it is eqipped with a card reader (sneakernet).
