Just had U-Verse installed on 4/17. We have a wireless HP 6840 printer. It worked before U-Verse was installed (we had DSL, and a Netgear router). NOW, I can't get it to print. It shows up on the network, but won't print. It says "offline" and nothing I've tried changes that. When I've run the network trouble shooter, it keeps telling me the printer is off, which is not true. I've turned it on/off several times.
I also changed to port to the TP/TCP or whatever it is - I realize that might be a problem, but don't remember what port it was before. But even before I tried that, it was giving me the same messages. This printer has not worked since U-Verse was installed (wirelessly, any way - it works if you plug it into the laptops, but that defeats the purpose). WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!?
I called Tech Support, and they couldn't help me. Told me that for a fee, they could connect me to Connect Tech. Or, for $149, could send someone out. REALLY???? We've had it for barely a week, it's never worked right, and the only way to GET it to work is to pay an arm and a leg to get it done? BOGUS!!!!!! We have 30 days to cancel...it may well come to that if AT&T doesn't do a better job of stepping up to the plate on customer service. Let's just say my frustration level is about to go off the charts.

How close is the printer to the Uverse gateway? Is it close enough that you could run an ethernet from the printer to the gateway? That would eliminate any wireless link problems for the printer.
Have you done a complete factory reset on the printer and reconfigured it's wireless connection to the gateway?
Once you're sure the printer is happy on the network, delete the printer from the printers folder on your computer(s) and reinstall the software, allowing the computer(s) to "rediscover" the printer.
