how can i allow others to use my wi-fi while @ my home ?

we tried several times, i gave them the security pin/password but still nothing happened. is it because of the firewall set-up or network sharing.

You will want to make sure you are connecting to your network. If there are multple AT&T customers in your neighborhood you may see many networks named "2WIREXXX" where the X's will represent the last three digits in the serial number of the gateway/modem. You will also want to make sure you are using the proper password. There will be three numbers listed on the gateway sticker. The serial number, the wireless key and the system password (not necessarily in that order). You must use the wireless key to connect.
