2Wire HG2701 WPA Security

I have a 2Wire 2701 modem/router. It only seems to like WEP Open security. I tried to use WPA, but the connection seems to have a conflict with the computer when I use WPA. When I reset the router to Default settings, everything is okay.

Does ATT DSL and 2-Wire modems/routers support the higher security levels of WPA or must I use WEP?

You should be able to change the security setting in the router to WPA. It needs to agree with what you are wanting to use on your computer.

If you can change it to WPA2, and your computer's wireless card (drivers) support WPA2, even better.
