Hi Guys, I am having major issues with my ATT DSL connection. Multiple disconnect/reconnects every day. The event log shows it all. Attaching event log and dsl diagnostic page read out from 2wire 2701HG-B Gateway. Need some pointers on how to fix this.

How old is your modem, could be crapping out.
It would appear though, by the training history, that there is definately something going on there. The noise margins are marginally acceptable, the attenuation level seems high and downstream power levels are all over the place.
Have you recently upgraded your speed?
Have you tried all the basics, like a "factory reset" on the gateway, changed your DSL filters if you have them, etc?

I may have a similar issue, but I really don't know so hoping someone can help. I've already spoken to AT&T and they mentioned buying another gateway, which I did, but I just don't trust they know what they are talking about. I've always had issues with my 2701hg-b and staying connected. From what I've read that's a common problem and I also have a Mac which seems to be another issue. Anyway, the past week the gateway tries and tries to connect, but it stay out most of the day. It always seems like it works in the middle of the night because I get service late at night and I notice it is still connected early in the morning. That's why I don't know if I trust that I need a new gateway. The power light will blink green and then connect, the next light will turn green (I think it's the Wireless button), but when it gets to the internet it turns red and starts the process all over. Sometimes the power light will just stay green. I have the new (well 2 week old gateway I bought) coming in the mail, but I just don't trust that's the issue. And I say that because the tech guy said the modem was bad because the power light shouldn't blink green. I can't even get to the gateway settings under the 192. whatever site because I can't connect. Any help y'all can give?

I also see the same problem. I have tried two differant DSL modems. A linksys X2000 and an Actiontec GT784WN. Does AT&T post any recommended DSL settings?

I observed this problem since August 2012: per 24 hours ca 15 ERR_LOS_LIMIT, 4 ERR_SIG_INTERRUPT,
as reported by the 2wire modem at http://192.168.1.254/xsl. The same behvior is observed with a
new Airtech modem and with a new ATT netgear modem, an expense of $200 toegether.
All stats were excellent when the ATT subsidiary's capable tech who came to the house (finally) measured.
The net result is that I get disconnected in mid-work = loss of $$.
I also lost a lot of time letting ATT chat or phone support make me wait in line, provide information to them
and have them run through their scripts. Chat is most effective since you can give them the previous chat #
and thereby avoid repeting yourself too much. You need at least a supervisor level person.
When they send a tech to your house (in N FL), s/he is from a subsidiary and can only look at your inside connection.
If s/he finds something you pay $100. If not, s/he can't help you because the outside wiring is done by ATT central
techs.
SInce ATT is part of a duopoly here (the other is a cable company) I wonder if they willl address the issue.
