I have AT&T DSL, and recently my modem will not work when I first turn the power on for the surge protector it's plugged into. The light labeled "DSL" will just blink red apparently forever until I unplug and replug the power cord it 5 or 6 times. After however many repluggings it takes, the DSL light will finally go green, but the "internet" light will not come on until after one more replug. Does this mean the modem is going bad, or does it indicate some other problem? If I do need a new modem, what are my options for acquiring one?
