I've disabled the WiFi on the 3800HGV-B. Instead, I use two Asus RT-N10+ updated with DD-WRT (v24-sp2) and configured as bridge-repeaters. The RG is connected to a bunch of other devices, including one of the RT-N10+ via a Netgear GS108 Gigabit Switch. Thus, downstairs, I have the RG and all the other devices connected to the switch. Upstairs, I have a few other devices connected to the other RT-N10+.
On a regular basis, my iOS devices (iPhone 4, 4S and iPad2) will show like they're connected to one of the RT-N10+ but won't be able to access the Internet. If I sweep ping the subnet from the iOS device, it finds the other devices but can't ping the RG (192.168.1.254). If I force a DHCP on the iOS device, by turning off and on WiFi, then, connectivity with the Internet returns right away. Sometimes, when at fault, if I continue pinging the RG, it will start responding all of a sudden...
All my devices have the latest iOS version...
I've tried a bunch of things and am running out of ideas. The intermittent nature of this problem doesn't help either...
Any suggestions?
