Hello everyone, I have been having problems with my connection, I get disconnected between 30-60 times a day. I get messages on my browser saying: "... issue has been resolved please close down your browser", only to be disconnected a minute later.
Called tech support and they told me the problem is my modem, part of me doubts that.
I currently have an at&t 4 port wireless router (I believe the 2701HG-B model). I found out tech support sent me a new modem even though I did not agree to it. I'm supposed to be getting it this Wednesday Jan 4. I was thinking about keeping it if it solves my problem. The thing is, I checked out the modem model they sent me online and it's the Motorola 2210. I'm going to have to send it back because I have 3 people here at home that depend on the wireless connection and I depend on an ethernet connection. This modem only supports 1 computer! This will be my 3rd modem in my 1 1/2 years of service with at&t. I have U-verse High Speed Internet Elite service, but no phone service.
I have barely been able to use the internet during the month of December, and haven't been able to play games online. It has been extremely frustrating.
It'll be $75 for a modem that will force me to buy a wireless router... c'mon!
Any suggestions for a modem (I guess you can say all-in-one) that will let me use 3 wireless connections and 1 ethernet connection without the need of a wireless router? That's compatible with my at&t service?
My current budget doesn't allow me to buy something super pricey, probably $80 and below.
Thank you, and have a Happy New Year!

That being said, the only wireless gateways they offer are $100 ( http://www.att.com/equipment/accessories/gateways-
The Motorola 3347 only has "G" wireless, whereas the Netgear 7550 has "N" wireless.
