I have an AT&T IFITL Internet connection (customer support - please don't ask me again which modem I have).
I'm trying to use a Linksys E3200 router to connect to the Internet and browse the web. The router has been configured with help from Linksys Tech Support. The status on the Admin screen of the router shows that it is connected to the Internet and I am able to ping external IP addresses. Yet, when I try to navigate to any website (example, yahoo.com), the AT&T webpage to "reset" my password always comes up. I am unable to get past this transaction as I always end up at a point where I'm asked to call tech support to reset the password.
When I revert to my ASUS router, I'm able to connect and browse just fine.
I called Linksys tech support - they told me that the router is configured properly. It just needs to be "registered" on AT&T's network. I don't recall explicitly registering a router on the network previously.
Has anyone experience this problem? How does one register a router on the network?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
