Wifi suddenly gone

I have the ATT High Speed Internet package that comes with complementary wifi. Three days ago the wifi suddenly stopped working, which is an issue since that's what two of my computers use to connect to the internet. When I went online to check the settings for 192.168.1.254 the wireless settings were no longer there. What's the deal? Is anyone else having this issue? I checked my email and there was no message saying they were cutting off my services and no phone calls either.

192.168.1.254? i assume you are using a 2Wire wireless gateway device?

what did you mean by "wireless settings are no longer there"? no more HOME NETWORK icon on top with WIRELESS SETTINGS as one of the features?

there's a chance that the feature has been disabled on the 2Wire or a glitch caused it. a possible reset of the 2Wire to factory state may fix it.

Yes, it is a 2wire wireless gateway device, and that is exactly what I meant. Unfortunetly reseting it doesn't change anything. I tried resetting it from both the 2wireless website and the hardware, and the wireless settings haven't reappeared.

that's really weird, missing the wireless features on the 2Wire's graphical interface...

you've already done a hard reset and a soft reset thru the gateway.2wire.com/management website, correct? then there is a chance that the modem may have gone defective already (with the wireless features not working anymore).

is there an available firmware upgrade shown on the main page of the 2Wire interface? you can try that too.

if all else fails, you can have it replaced if under the 1-year warranty.

you can also check the management interface of your 2wire gateway for wireless by going to this site: http://192.168.1.254/mdc

if you really can't find any hint of wireless on that page, it means that the wireless part of your 2wire gateway is broken. I am hoping that your modem is still under warrany so that AT&T could replace it for free.
