OK I don't know what to do I have been with at&t for years in the last 2 months my gaming ping to a server in Chicago went from 30s to high 80 to 90. I work on computers its not in my PC I did a trace route and found my first hop that used to be 10-17 went to 55-68 or so. After getting the run around all over I checked the neighbor same result with first hop . So I went to my brothers house 6 blocks away same thing . I went to another friends house 5 blocks or so his first hop 10 the catch he routs in to grandrapids not Kalamazoo. So I called with this info finally got some 1 that helped he got it fixed this was on a Friday. Ran great all weekend come Monday back to crap again. They switched me into another rotor in kazoo fixed it for 2 days back to crap again have been dealing with this for 2 mounths now get the same run around every time my first hope is the whole issue went from 10-17 too 55-65 . Yea your first hop is a bit high, is this via wireless or wired? if it's wireless I would try attaching straight to the router or modem and try another trace.
