Completely fed up with the lack of customer service.

I recently upgraded from a normal texting phone to a "smart" phone. Since then, text messaging with photo att. does not work. I've spent hours on the phone with ATT to no avail. They escalated the problem to higher levels and still no help I'm fed up. They were supposed to call back with an expert, but no return call. When I called today, they refused to take my call!!!! What the ()*&*&&*^%^%R!!!! This is ridiculous!

what phone arer you using and are you using the text message application from the phone?

I'm using a new captivate glide, (Samsung SGH-I927), with Android 2.3.5. Yes, I'm using the message (text) feature on the phone, just adding a photo attachment. I've spoken multiple times with customer service and the individuals I've dealt with have been a mixed bag, but none have been able to resolve what should be a simple issue. This occurs on two identical phones.

curious -
1. do you have this issue with regular text messages
2. do you have cellular data turned off?
3. on your previous phone did you have a data block on it?

No.
2. do you have cellular data turned off?
No. We've tried numerous settings. background data, sync data, data packets, etc. We've been on wifi, out in th wild, etc. I believe it is a setting someplace... just not sure where...
3. on your previous phone did you have a data block on it?
No. It was removed, to allow us to send photo messages.
It would be nice, if a tech support person could walk through what the settings should be, to get it to work. But, that doesn't seem to be there method... they want to reboot and change settings on their end, reboot, then change the data phone number, then reboot, then not take my calls.

check to see if te phone is in airplane mode
On my android
All Apps - Settings - Wireless & networks - "mobile network" description is "use phone for data connection when wi-fi is unavailable", if I remove the check mark it will not send or recieve data on the phone
