Hey guys, first post here, so forgive me if i do anything stupid or forget anything.
I recently purchased an HP 6910p on Ebay for $200. Got a battery for it for $50, and then got a GOBI 1000 for $30. Everything works great (Except the base system device, whatever that is) and the GOBI. I've been up and down the internet a million times, but i can't find a driver that works on my system. I came close with an Acer driver, and Gobiloader, but everytime ACM searched for a signal, it reset the modem and it lost its firmware. I tried a different version of the ACM software that would get stuck at "Wireless device detected" and not do anything. Sometimes it would search for a signal a bit, and i could hear the GSM noise through my speakers, but then returned to the "Wireless device detected" screen. The most recent time, it got stuck at the "No Signal - Searching..." screen.
There are no HP drivers for this particular card, as this computer doens't come with one in any config, so i'm pretty much required to use some other driver for some other computer.
I'm running Windows 7 64bit on the machine, with 4GB of RAM.
I think i've covered the problem pretty well... if any more info is needed, i'll be glad to give it.
