I have called tech support and did trouble shooting with them and things seem to woek but then the next day I have problems again. I get a mms and the download button is there and I push the button. It says downloading and then it gives me an error of download was unsucceful. I am not on wifi as I have been told confuses the phone. I do not have a dat plan but this is not why it is not working. MMS will work without a data plan. Im just irritated that I have to spend so much time for something that Att cant figure out. Even when a tech support guy tried sending me mms I didnt get them all the time. Please help.

Even though you don't have a data plan, data DOES need to be enabled on your device for MMS to work properly.
That said, make sure that you have sufficient signal when trying to download an MMS. If you're only getting 1-2 bars, it will more than likely fail to download properly.

You say you don't have a data plan. I presume you have a texting plan then. If not, you can enable usage per text, i.e., 20 cents per text...or 30 cents per MMS. Reference jii's response above also.
