Problems Sending and Receiving messages

For the past few days I have been receiving text messages late. If that wasn't bad enough when I try to send a text message it normally takes a few attempts for it to actually send. This all happens while my phone says I have 3G and complete service. I've done a complete factory reset on my phone, tried turning it on and off, and nothing has helped. Is there anyway to fix this problem or does anyone know what may be causing it?

Which phone are you using? I sometimes have these problems with my Samsung Captivate. They often aren't as bad as your issue sounds, though.

Have you considered replacing the SIM card? How long have you had your SIM and your current phone?

I have the same issue on my iPhone 4. Customer service has not been able to help me with the problem. The delays have been happening since I got it almost 2 months ago.

i am having the same problem on my 5 day old pantech gophone, really wish i had researched AT&T better before switching from verizon...

I stopped receiving text messages from Verizon a couple of weeks ago. I can send messages but cannot receieve (I do receiev texts from ATT). I have an iphone 3GS and have already talked to customer tech support 3 times this week (each time over an hour on the phone). They can't figure it out and are now saying it's Verizon's fault (I even had a friend call Verizon's tech support but they couldn't help). I have updated my software, got a new sim card, rebooted like crazy and still nothing. It worked fine up until several weeks ago and all of a sudden my friends tell me they've texting me but I don't get any of them. What gives?

i'm having same problem with my iPhone4. i can't send iMessages even when Wifi is readily available. i recently added "parental controls" features to my plan. do you think these are connected? can you please send me a PM to ? thanks!
