Tethering

I will be on the road for 18 hours and just want to be able to view the internet on a large screen (not while driving). I have a 3G phone and added the $15 data plan. I downloaded the AT&T Communication manager. I connect my phone and have 3 bars and it says 85 dBm, but can not connect to the internet. Does anyone know why? I have been reading the forums and see mention of a tethering plan but don't see that on the features page. Also I just need this for 4-5 days and do not need a contract. Any suggestions?

You need the $60 tethering plan to use your phone as a modem. There should not be any contract required and you should be able to add and remove the data plan whenever you need it or don't need it.

Edited to add: If you are unable to find the feature on your myWireless account, try calling customer care at 1-800-331-0500.
