Trouble Sending SMS from Outlook/Email

I use MS Outlook to send text messages via email (@txt.att.net) I am able to send messages to a single phone without problem, but if I use a distribution list, no one gets my messages. The messages go into my sent items as they have been sent and I never get any rejection emails showing a problem. This has happened since I moved my secretary to a new PC and she had to start from scratch with Outlook. Any suggestions?

Where there is mediocrity in computing, micro$oft is often close at hand. Such is the case here. You have admitted that Outhouse can send to any phone but if you use a distribution list it gets lost. Sounds like a slam dunk. Nothing broken on AT&T end of this issue. Get a decent email tool and be happy.

You might add some outside target in your distribution list to see if it goes there. There really could be quite a chain of servers between your client and your phone. Do the test to an address where you can read mail headers and get an an idea of what it looks like after micro$oft gets thru mangling your mail. They could very well be wrapping it up in some stupid binary format that won't work when going to txt target.

Distro lists won't work due to two possible reasons... 1) Any formatting Outlook uses to do a distro list, and 2) the quantity of recipients. Even from a phone itself, if you attempt to forward a text to too many recipients, you would receive a failed message of some type; it happened to me recently.
