motorola razr2 v8 settings

i'm trying to setup my razr 2 v8 to use the web browser however i'm not having any luck.

could someone please post the exact information to enter in on the v8 razr 2 settings?

I don't see anything for the V8 model. Was that offered by Cingular or did you get it third party unlocked? Here is the infor for the V9 model. Maybe the settings would be the same. Be sure to follow the troubleshooting steps at the bottom and each has its own link for more info.

Motorola RAZR2 V9 Keypad Layout

Prerequisites

Validate the device has at least two bars of signal strength.
Validate the device has a wireless data attach.

Access MEdia Net

From the standby screen, select Main Menu.
Scroll to and select MEdia Net
The "MEdia Net" homepage will display.

Exit MEdia Net

Press the End key to exit.
Exit Browser will display, select Yes.

If unable to access MEdia Net, perform the following troubleshooting steps

Validate the device has signal strength.
Validate the device has a wireless data attach.
Validate the MEdia Net profile in the browser settings.
Clear the device cache.
Clear the device cookies.
Power cycle the device (turn off and back on).
Attempt to access MEdia Net again.
If unable to access a particular MEdia Net site, check to see if the site is supported by AT&T.
If problem persists, please contact AT&T Customer Service for wireless customers.

My V8 has a setting under the web brower settings for "MEDIA NET". All I had to do was select that and it worked fine. It was set to Orange's network, which I believe is a big network in the EU.

COULD YOU PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE POST YOUR PHONE SETTINGS, I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE, JUST GO INTO YOUR MEDIANET CONNECTION AND PULL THE SETTINGS FOR US.

Hey Wilcre, since you are a cell master. Maybe you can help me with this.

I have an unlocked Motorola V8 (which AT & T don't carry), I can't send or receive picture messages. How can I configure the phone to be able to do that? I called the AT & T technical support and they can't help me.

What happens when someone send a mms to your phone, also what happens when you try to send a mms.

What happens when I send a picture is that it says that it cannot send to recipient and to check message status of the message. When I check the status of the message it says "message cannot be sent due to network error". When I received a picture text, it prompts me to download but it won't download, it fails.

I clicked on the link above and updated my phone.

Try these settings.

IMPORTANT: The standard MEdia Net browser is selected by default. This browser comes with default settings, and is not editable. If the default settings do not work, a new connection is required.
Procedure

Scroll to and select Web Sessions.

I looked at that. Those instructions are for the V9, not the V8 (which isn't by AT & T).

It has something to do with a network error. Whatever that means.

That usually indicates that the settings in the phone are not correct. can you get into the settings area for the phone to amke alterations...

Yes, I am able to go into Multimedia Message and the things that are listed are

Active Service Profile

ATT MMS

Service Profiles

--- under this option, I can create, edit or delete a Service Profile.

So in my case, the Active Service Profile is ATT MMS and when I go into edit, here are my options:

Profile Name: ATT MMS

Service Centre: ***I don't know what should go here***

Internet Connection: ***You get to choose from a list***

I just need to correct info to input into those fields.

I input the "Service Centre" field but the internet connect is a drop down of the profiles from -- Settings--> Connections --> Data Connection.

Ok, so, earlier, you linked me something to get Media Net, I did that and it updated my profile to Ztar. All the proxy, domain, port, user name, etc is exactly as the Motorola site states that it should be.

I just tried to send the message and it's still not working.
