Those should have been the first phones implemented, not the last.

And even if a bank didn't have a mobile site, many of the higher end phones do have the ability to view the bank's full web sites with the built-in browser. You may want to also check out Opera Mini, which does a much better job of formatting full web pages to fit the mobile screen.

Your list proves my point. No Tilt, no Blackjack, no Blackjack II, no Synch, no Motorola Q, no Pantech Duo, no iPhone. First of all, there are many of us who will not even consider buying any phone that runs any windoze. "Sorry honey, I could not answer. Of course AT&T has full bars where I was, but my so-called smart phone had a blue screen of death!"
Another possibility is that maybe, just maybe, it is as difficult to get things to work right in a windoze phone's browser as it is to get things to work right in internet exploiter browser? Now you see how some of us feel when a site is made for micro$oft browsers with no regard to standards compliance.
Checking now my bank site, using W810i: Looks and works OK. USAA FSB. No way did I even consider trying to use phone wap browser. MIDP2 Opera Mini is the tool for this job. Can those windoze phones run Opera? If so, load and go because your bank's job is done.

Yes there you have the Java way. But is windoze mobile capable of running Java?
wilcre wrote:Try and point your WAP browser to one of these addesses.
If not, Opera Mobile works on Symbian and Windows Mobile Smartphones.
Opera Mobile costs $24 to purchase, following a free trial period.
It's normal I say. If you insist on using windoze, breaking out your wallet is what you do again and again and again. No different here, right?
Back to the bank, I did go try my bank site in stock S/E wap browser. Mighty fine. After seeing it work fine in wap browser, I thought I would try a entry-level "adult" phone. Yes works on N6030b (Cingular version of course).
This really is more about what supplier (bank) does than anything to do with AT&T. My bank is serious about enabling mobile banking.

And I've never seen a Windows Mobile phone BSoD.
I am an AT&T employee and the postings on this site are my own and don’t necessarily represent AT&T’s positions, strategies or opinions.

It's amazing what people assume when they've never owned one.
