Xpress Mail S7122 error. was working previously but has stopped working

Same error since new years eve. When i try to send out mail, it goes right to the outbox and does not send. If i hit manual sen/receive I get an S7122 error. In the log i get the same S7122 error for automatic and manual send receives. When i re-register I get any mail waiting to come in if nothign is waiting to go out, but nothing sends out. If mail is wiating to go out I get S7122
Using verizon.net on an ATT Tilt.
I got up to level 2 support and have tried a hard reset, deleting and reinstalling Xpress mail. We also tried using Xpress mail with gmail instead of verizon and xpress mail is working with gmail, but not verizon. I tried to reenter the verizon settings manually under a new POP account but no luck. I even read trying to set the verizon outgoing port to 587, no luck. So it's something relating to outgoing mail and verizon.
Normal mail accounts from the phone are working fine.
Suggestions?!?! Bummed Xpress mail is no longer working.

You can also add me to the list of AT&T users with Verizon email accounts getting the S7122 error. The Outlook client on my work laptop and on my desktop at home are still working without any issues against the same email account. I have not changed any settings anywhere. XpressMail had been working without any issues for a long until Friday 01/16. Something changed in the AT&T side as my wife's BJII is also getting the S7122 error.

Well, the holiday is over... any word from those in the know as to what, if anything, being done in the AT&T side to solve this S7122 error for customers with Verizon email accounts?

Can't find a way to edit the previous posts... so here I go again.
The only way that I can get "new" email via XpressMail is by re-registering the Verizon acount again and again. Every time I re-register I loose the emails that I have saved in my phone as they're deleted every time I re-register. Using this method I can only downloads "new" email.
Anyone in Verizon land working on this?

Every time I rergistered it only worked to download once, but I could never send out.

Same here... C'mon Verizon... is going to be a week tomorrow without XpressMail service... This is unacceptable!

OK, I checked, and sure enough, there was something stuck in my outbox. I deleted it, and I was able to receive about 10 emails from Verizon. So, at least we identified that we cannot send. That narrows it down.
I have been on the Verizon web site, where they tell us to go to solve problems. It's like finding your way through a maze to try to send them an email. I understand that they want you to use their FAQ's and knowledge base, but, come on, let's see some customer service.

UPDATE -
Level two help called me back and requested my logs from Xpressmail. Forwarded to him and he is escalating ticket to Seven which is the application vendor. More news to come... I hope ![]()
If you do not want Xpress to hang up, just do not sending anything via Verizon for now. FYI, on my Centro I was able to use the built in Email client with out issue to send and receive email. I have disabled my Verizon account on Xpressmail and not having any issue.

Please, keep us updated. I also disabled Xpressmail in the meantime, but would like get back to Xpreesmail push email.

I got a call from a level 3 HD person yesterday and she used my login ID to check on an LG device and got the same error. She was going to test with another Verizon account from someone else that was having the issue. So they are trying to work the problem. The only way that we can put a fire under this is to call it in. And when you do make sure that they open a ticket up on it and forward onto the next level. ![]()

2/6 Update from ATT rep:
We are still testing. I spoke with Verizon tech support yesterday. They said nothing changed on their end. I will be contacting our Network operations today to see if they can run a trace.
Good news I am still getting emails from them ![]()

It is now OVER A MONTH since I reported this problem here in the forum and to the AT&T support folks via the 800 number. The support folks that I have contacted either don't know about the problem or tell me that AT&T is working on it. Of course every time I call them they ask me to re-register the client or to uninstall and install the Xpressmail and to reset my phone. Well that does not fix it... does it? How much longer is it going to take to resolve this problem? Other folks are reporting the same problem, but under different subjects... like... "I can't send mail. This is completely unaceptable. I will tell everyone that ask to stay away from Xpress mail as it lacks adequate support from AT&T.

Try re-registering xpress mail using "other pop" as the email provider. On the incoming server put incoming.verizon.net (port 110, does not require SSL), for user name put just the first part of the email address (before the @ sign), for outgoing server put cwmx.com (port 25, does not require SSL or authentication).

This worked for me. Mail I sent from gmail took a couple of minnutes to push through though. Sometimes longer. xpress mail seemed to be faster before.
Can someone explain what the cwmx.com outgoing server is and does? Does this route outgoing email from the phone to verizon's outgoing server?
Question. In the xpressmail settings if I enable scheduled updates I assume that will suck up battery life correct?

If cwmx.com is the standard outgoing server, why do none of the AT&T tech support people know this? ![]()
BTW, my xpressmail IS NOW WORKING using cwmx.com as the outgoing server . I also had to enter my username as my full email address including verizon.net XXXXXX@verizon.net

looks like a fix here
the only thing I did different was under username enter the entire email address. It's working for me.

Not having a verizon email address, I was going by the information in this article.
Apparently it is incorrect and the user name should be the full email address.
