Xpress Mail and Live Mail (Hotmail) cannot send email attachments

Just got a Nokia E71x and setup and installed xpress mail. I can get it to send and receive emails through Live mail (Hotmail). When I try send an email with an attachment it sits in the outbox with a status of next send. If I try to hit send, it stays there with the same message. I can send messages with attachments through MMS, but it costs per message. Don't think I should have to pay to send attachmnets with an unlimited data plan. I called ATT support, but of course they don't know any more, actually less, than I do. Anyone know how to send attachments through email? Am I missing something? I don't have a paid live mail account, so I can't use pop or imap settings.

     Try and cut the attachment size to 300kb or less and then try sending again.

Tried a smaller pic, 144kb. Still will not send email with attachments. I even found and installed the Windows Live suite for the S60 models and installed it. Same problem.

I think that may be the reason why. You can use pop3 settings. make sure you have password enabled.

pop3.live.com for incoming server port 995

smtp.live.com for outgoing server port 25

I could send and receive email without attachemets, so emai lworked. It would just not allow to send attachements from teh device. I ended up taking it back. I think the phone was the problem. It would sometimes give errors about receiving mail then I would have to reboot eh phione to get it to work. Some incoming messages said they exceeded 64kb so the whole message could not be downloaded. Switching to a Windows mobile device and shold not have a problem with syncing to Windows Live services. Nokia was very strange setup.
