Xpress mail not working? Error message S7122

Using a Samsung Jack. My Xpress Mail (MSN account) stopped working a few days ago and displays "Error Message S7122 - Unable to connect to server". I called ATT and at first they said they had never seen that error message. Then the rep "escalated" it to a higher level tech, who stated the problem was (is) with Xpress Mail, due to a software upgrade. Service was supposed to be back up this morning but still isn't.
Anyone else having the same issue? Is it just MSN/Hotmail or is it anything going through XM?

I'm personally only having trouble with my Live account and XpressMail, my Yahoo is working fine. I think it's just Microsoft-related accounts. I hope they'll be back up soon. ![]()

Still no luck. I called Tech Support yesterday and they had to "escalate" my inquiry to a second-level tech. Had me on hold forever, and then the call got dropped on their end and I didn't get the courtesy of a call-back or email. Starting to wonder why I'm paying the extra $30 monthly for a smart phone if the feature(s) don't work and the service is poor.

Having the same issue and error for about the last week after choosing the upgrade and installation. I don't like accessing this from the browser. Does anyone know if the local mailbox option no longer supported or other issues causing this?

I couldn't get mine to work so I uninstalled XpressMail and installed the Windows Live client. It's working great so far.
If you have a Windows Mobile phone and it's not automatically prompting the download of the client, you should be able to download the Live client on your phone here: http://wl.windowsmobile.com

Thanks for the tip. The way I understand it, if I use the Windows Live client, I'll get an SMS text message everytime I get a new email. If that's correct, then my message usage will go up and I'll be paying for those texts as well as the "smartphone" fee which covers the Xpress Mail. I'm a relative novice at this, so please correct me if my assumptions are incorrect.

That is not the way the Windows Live client works on my phone. On my phone, it acts just like an extension of the device email client. Nothing weird.
Well, it will only show the most recent 50 emails, but other than that, nothing weird. No texts.

Hey guys, I too have been having issues with Xpressmail the last month. I originally thought my old BlackjackII was the fault, so I upgraded to a new Jack phone. Xpressmail worked for about 2 weeks, then I got the S7122 / S7123 error messages.
I gave up and tried the Windows Live thing mentioned above. It actually installs itself just like Xpressmail, shows up in the home page, uses the same extact messsage system as Xpressmail.
I'll be testing it this week, if it works well, I'm not even going to bother calling ATT, since Xpressmail has never worked right in 3 years I've used it.

Same problem here.
I use a Nokia E71x. I did a hard reset of the phone, reinstalled Xpress mail, tried to setup my account... guess what? Same thing.
Have been on the phone with AT&T and Nokia. Both have been about as helpful as a thumbtack in my sock.
