I can't connect to internet if I plug my phone on the wall, and vice versa. Made 150 calls to AT&T and it seems like nobody can give an straight answer, they gave me the following answers: can't connect phone and dsl on the same line. (it's not) - you need a higher speed internet (I have lite) - your phone jack needs work (may be...) you don't have a phone account with us... (this one won the Oscar) - you need a dsl tech to come out ( why?) the phone tech needs to come out (have an appointment) Well, may be one of you can figure it out because AT&T certainly can't!!!!! If the problem is not solved, I too, will say good bye to AT&T, only gave me the run around and no answers. I want to work for them!!!!!!! Easy job!!!!

Hello normajean,
I hear you. I do apologize for the inconvenience, especially you've been going through circles with us here. Upon carefuly assessing the issue it seems that you need a filter or a splitter. These devices are those small cream-colored boxes connected on the phone jack. The main purpose of these things is to keep Internet signal and the phone signal from getting on with each other. If you already got one then it could be haywired or such. It could also be possible that the problem lies on the boxes outside which may require a field technician.

Thanks for your help. but, I had the phone tech here yesterday and he found a tiny wire loose on the outside box, that was preventing me to connect both at the same time. I guess I don't need a higher speed internet huh? Boy, that answer was the best! Even I know that that was not the reason!!! AT&T should review the recording from some phone calls and send this people back into training. It looks bad for the other people that have knowledge. They were all very nice and polite, but when it came to answers OMG!!!!! The most ridiculous ones. But everything is good now!!!!!! Have a nice day! Normajean.
