My email is sending out spam to all my contacts. I thought I had a virus, though I have scanned my computer everyday. My internet went out last Friday and today they finally got it back up and running. I was looking through my email and noticed Saturday emails were sent out again. Can someone please tell me if this is due to issues with the yahoo server?

Same thing happened to me today. The only way I found out about it was because I got a "failure notice" from the Yahoo! mailer daemon. I scrolled through the headers and saw something that I knew wasn't from me. Later I got a call from my wife saying the same thing. I've been warning everyone in my contacts book to not open that email from me, but apparently some already have.
AT&T, if you're listening, this is unacceptable. I have tons of security set up on my email address and for something like this to fall through the cracks is inexcusable. Apparently it's happening to those with "@sbcglobal.net" domains, although I can't be sure this is the only domain that's been hacked.
I don't want to change my email address and have to notify all my contacts and my creditors, so someone needs to look into this and determine what needs to be done in order to keep it from happening again. I'm sure neither AT&T nor Yahoo! want the headache of potentially hundreds of thousands of users having to change their email addresses at the same time.

I thought it was just me! I have an att.net address. It sounds like an att issue since so many people are having the issue all of a sudden. They better figure it out!

I have the issue as well. I have had though for about 3 months. I ran McAfee and other spyware and nothing seems to resolve the problem.

Oh geesh I am so glad I am not the only one. I was beginning to think I was so not pro anymore. I am trying all types of things and nothing has worked so far. I did do a system restore and am changing the PW now to see if this solves the issue. I will repost if it works.

I thought I had this fixed. I checked my email account today and a new email was sent out yesterday. Who can I contact to get this taken care of? This spam is being sent to my children's teachers and coaches. I am totally humiliated at this point.

Yes, me also. The email reads "Hello dear friend" and has a spanish website of setea.com.
I have numerous business contacts, besides my personal contacts. This is embarassing!
Any solutions from At&T?

It is amazing how AT&T does not care. I called and cannot get an answer how to fix this. I am getting over 500 emails a day of
MAILER-DAEMON@oproxy3-pub.bluehost.com Anyone know how to fix this. I have added all the addresses to my Norton block and changed my password and it still happens Thank you

Well, today it is 3-14-2013 and this is happening to me. I recently moved, but kept my AT&T account. Now, my email is sending spam by the thousands to all of my contacts. I changed my password, scanned for malware. There is nothing abnormal on my end. I am a computer scientist and I know how to prevent intrusions. So, AT&T, are you monitoring this?

Also happened to me, a ton of non-deliverable notices makes me wonder how many actually delivered. Then before I could attempt a password change I got locked out of my account. It has happened once before and since this is not my main email account I deleted all my contacts at that time, have no idea who it sent these emails to. Hopefully I can regain access to my account without too much more trouble and even more hopefully AT&T can find where the problem is and correct it.
