Client downloads are working again. Go figure.
The att.net client interface is less stable than .....
Anyway, I have
1. Forwarded my email account at att.net to my account at Hotmail. My att.net email id is an old firend from before AT&T messed it up, from before AT&T owned it, and I shall miss it.
2. I have added the following to my Windlows Live Mail signature: "Please note this email may come from a different address. Emails from my old address will be forwarded to this one. This change may be permanent as AT&T and Yahoo are either unable or unwilling to provide stable POP3 client (mail downloading) function."
MAYBE I'll go back to my old friend if a long enough period goes by without that d____d 800CCC90 error,
