I have no idea if this is the right place, but I don't see anywhere else to post it. On one of my computers, I have lost all of my yahoo bookmarks and the message I get is HTTP 500 Internal Server Error. All of the bookmarks are still accessible on my other computer. My husband has lost access to all of his as well. Where did they go and how can I restore all of them?

There are two major problems here:
First is the technical problem. On att.my.yahoo.com, over the last three days, the user bookmarks do not display 90% of the time.
Second is the support problem. When something, especially with att/yahoo, goes kerflooey there is no viable support option. With as many users subjected to this poor excuse of a home page, you would expect direct support of some kind.

AT&T tech support told my husband that this is due to "maintenance and updates" at Yahoo. Frankly, I do not believe that routine maintenance would last over three days. If maintenance was scheduled, Yahoo should have posted a message that it was underway. If the problem is otherwise, Yahoo should still have posted a message in the bookmark area so everyone is not wondering.
Another clue that it is not just maintenance: there is no ETA for completion.

i new this was not user computer related. i have 6 - 2 laptops win 7, 2 desktops win 7, 1 desktop vista & 1 desktop XP, all failed with the same error. i don't add bookmarks very ofton. my current bookmarks seemed to work ok, until i tried to add another. add me to the list of unhappy & frustrated users. typical of ATT / YAHOO. they do what they want, when they want. {word filter evasion} the customers, full speed ahead.
don't ask me to comment on the quality of support, i'd probably get banned.
end of mini rant.
please, someone in the 'Community', open a new sticky topic & post the support emails and phone numbers.
i think ATT/Yahoo would find out that letting the customer know ahead of time, what is being worked on, when maintenance is scheduled and happening. more over, when problems occur, let us know that your working on it by keeping us posted !

how much longer are we going to wait for this - outstanding customer support - with no access to our bookmarks, to get fixed ??. it wasn't too long ago that ATT made good their threat about forcing us to use the 'new toolbar' to access our bookmarks. call me stupid, i took their bait. now i wish i had saved all my bookmarks on a USB flash drive.

AT&T DSL Support continues to guess and bluff. The last tech, unaware apparently that they have different routing than customers, pronounced that it was my browser because he could see my bookmarks. Like a good umpire wrongly calling a throw at first, he sold it hard but, fortunately, I did not believe him. I gave him an excuse and said that I would call back.
The browser had not been changed or updated in the two days before the problem started and I kept it frozen. Then, as expected, the bookmarks once again appeared on the att.my.yahoo.com page without my doing anything on my end (and without the major disruptions that tech support was suggesting.)
If anyone from AT&T or Yahoo support management reads the posts (now *there's* a concept, eh? But unlikely.), how about better communication between Yahoo and AT&T? Also, how about an outage notification and status update on the page? It would save a lot of calls and a lot of customer frustration, presuming that either organization cares about the customer experience.

it's obvious that no one in support is reading any of these posts. ATT suport is just plain {word filter evasion}. Ma Bell is alive and well !!
