I had McAfee software installed when I purchase my laptop. Now it is expired so I uninstalled it and install AT&T Internet Security Suite free with DSL service. The installation was successful but after a few hours, I got McAfee renewal message. How do I fix this?

I have the same problem on my laptop. (7 year old VAIO running XP). For the last 5 main updates (requiring reboot) I have immediately gotten the error message that my subscription had expired. The only fix has been to unload Mcafee and re-install. It's getting tiresome. My main PC that runs on Win 7 does not have this problem.
