I closed my bellsouth.net DSL and email account many years ago. For the past couple of weeks, my friends & family have been receiving SPAM emails from that account. What can I do?

Thank you for taking your time to let us know of the issue that you're
experiencing with your old ATT/BellSouth email.
All ATT customers are ablet o keep their email address even after the
service has been disconnected. It is possible that
your old BellSouth email is still active. Please call us or chat with us if
you wish to completely deactivate your email account.
As for the email sending Spam to your contacts. Please refer to this link
for a fix of this issue.
