I reset my password yesterday while I was not logged into my email.
When I reset this I did not get to look at the "temporary password" that they sent to me to my "att email". After that I was not able to answer one of the security questions correctly in order to retrieve my password.
I cannot log in to my email acct at all. AT&T's website is not helpful & I have talked to many AT&T employees & none of them can figure it out.
Frustrating??? All I want to do is to check my emails.

Yep I have had the same sbcglobal email addy for over 11 years. It has traveled with me through 3 different sbc/AT&T accounts. I have always been able to reset/recover my password through AT&T.
Some how my computer email password got erased. I can still log onto yahoo IM, but not mail.. AT&T talked to me like I was crazy. You have to talk to yahoo for that. Of course yahoo says this email addy is tied to a dsl account, and I have to talk to AT&T.
There was no account status change, so I don't know why AT&T can not help me all of a sudden..
This, on top of my horrible connectivity problems has driven me to total frustration with AT&T's DSL service.

If the email account in question is not associated with current at&t services the only way you will have to access your account is go to att.com (official website) and click on forgot password. Enter your AT&T email address for your user id and you'll have 2 options, Receive a temporary password via contact email address or Answer Security Questions.
To correctly maintain your free email accounts make sure that you update your security questions and answers and use an alternate email address for your contact email address. This way when your password no longer works all you need to do is go to att.com (official website) and click on forgot password. Enter your AT&T email address for your user id and you'll have 2 options, Receive a temporary password via contact email address or Answer Security Questions. Answers to your security questions are case sensitive so make sure that you notate you answers clearly with capital letters when you update your questions and answers
