My husband used my laptop to sign in to his email. Ever since, after signing myself back into my own email, it isn't recognizing my contacts. For example, when creating an e-mail and click on the plus sign to bring up my contacts, in the "Choose Concats" dialog box, it says "No contacts found". Yet, when I select the Contacts tab, there the all are. I can't add a new contact either. I have tried to contact AT&T help line and can't get a real person no matter what I try.

I have had this problem all day: email not recognizing contacts. Same problem not able to add or view from "Choose contacts box". I finally received an error code: "The operation failed (Error_Server_Internal_50001). What that's about? I'm glad I'm not the only one. Thought It Was Me!

Hi Sorina,
you must be using the Yahoo Mail Beta version. The issue is occuring commonly with Mail beta and IE 9 combination. Try using another browser or just change the mail interface to All New Mail.
To switch to all new mail:
Login to your email account and be on the inbox page.
2. Click " Help " from the top of the page and select " Back to origional Mail "
3. Choose any reason and submit.
4. IT will take you to All new mail version.
If you still need Mail beta then :
Once you are back to all new mail version - Signout and sign in again.
1. Visit http://overview.mail.yahoo.com to switch back to beta interface
2. Select Upgrade now once you are at the above link.
3. Once you are back in beta interface check if contacts are working or not
Still not workig then download mozilla firefox from http://firefox.com and try using it
Regards,
Guri C

I'm having the same problem.
I tried both of your suggestions and neither worked. I switched to FireFox, hoping that would solve the problem but it didn't work.
Any other suggestions?

I finally reached a real person and they tried to help but couldn't solve the problem. Finally they told me to call Connectech so I did. They said they could definitely fix the problem but I would have to pay for it. I pay them big bucks every month right now and they want MORE money--I don't think so. Customer Service should fix a problem that is probably nothing more then resetting something. The FIX should NOT cost the customer. That is just plain BAD customer service!!!

I have the same problem using MS IE9 for the last six months. AT&T, working with Yahoo, cannot fix it. It is a widespread problem. Why can't they fix this simple problem by now? I have talked with tech support. They know of the problem but cannot resolve it. This is ridiculous and annoying!

It's amazing that this morning my contacts are working......for how long I don't know. Guess I will enjoy it while it last.
Could someone at AT&T actually be listening to the complaints and getting things solved, if so ....BLESS YOU who ever you are.

To fix contacts not appearing in 'Compose Message' in 'new' ATT/Yahoo email:
1. Help -> Return to Original Email.
Then Contacts work. Sign Out.
2. Return to Upgraded Beta email ->
Visit http://overview.mail.yahoo.com to switch back to beta interface
Then contacts will re-appear in 'Compose Message' in 'new' ATT email.
Worked For Me!

I also had the problem. I have a distribution list of 36 emails. The only one that isn't "recognised" is another sbcglobal.net email, so when I put the list in my TO: box, it lists 35 email addresses.
I went back to the original mail, and the list works fine. I like the old one better anyway - not as much time spent loading all the ads! I guess I didn't know how, now I can change my other emails back to the "original" too!

I don't know what AT&T did but I can only access and use my contacts when I log on thru Yahoo.com. My security picture doesn't show any longer either. I tried going back to original mail and it didn't work.
