I was looking at buying a new tv and the salesman was pushing me toward a LED 3D TV. But I do not see any programming for 3D and just read that the ESPN 3D channel was pulled from the line up. The TV looked nice in the store, but with limited movies...is it really worth the money? Does ATT have any other 3D programming?

Since ESPN 3D was removed, the only 3D content are some movies in the On Demand library.

You can get starz on demand 3D. I'm assuming this content is free versus the 3D on demand if you have a starz package.
I had the 3D technology package, ESPN 3D was cancelled as of july 31 and the screen says the 3D tech package will be removed from my bill. I call today to complain (Aug 24) and it turns out I still have the 3D technology package on my bill. To me, this is blatant fraud as it should have been removed as of July 31.
Other than 3D, I really like AT&T. Unfortunately the customer service is some of the worst I've come across.

Im sure they will fix it for you.
I must say they have been stellar for me. Some of the best customer service has come from Uverse.
Give them a chance to make it right for you.
They have a nice bunch of 3d movies free on Starz. Enjoy.

If this channel has been gone since 7-31, why is it still showing up???
I'm wondering the same thing, it's been gone for nearly a month but it's still in the guide. I'm hoping it's because they are still negotiating, but I have no clue. I also had to call and remove the 3D package from my account, eventhough it was supposed to be automatic.
Oh well, I'm hoping it comes back so I can watch it on my 120" screen with my new 3D projector. If not, I'm not too worried as the announcers on ESPN 3D are terrible, and IMO they need simulcasting for it to take off.

"Ren: Now listen, Cadet. I've got a job for you. See this button? Don't touch it! It's the History Eraser button, you fool!
Stimpy: So what'll happen?
Ren: That's just it. We don't know. Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?"

How do I get the Starz 3D on demand for U-Verse. I can't find it on the website.
It's there under On Demand, Premium, Starz HD. There are only 2 movies available, A Christmas Carol and Tangled.

As mentioned in this thread, Starz HD On Demand usually has 3 or 4 different movies available and they are free to watch if you already subscribe to Starz. We watched Alice in Wonderland in 3D and it was pretty amazing. If you want to pay extra, there are many 3D movies available in the pay per view menu. You can find them easily just by searching for 3D in the main search box. They are a little too expensive for us to watch, though. Our 3D plasma tv can convert 2D to a pretty realistic 3D experience, so we use that occasionally.

OK, I'm going to be obnoxious about this. Posting something like this in every 3D topic I can find.
I see a lot of replies by what I assume are UVerse shills saying that 3D will never take off, it's too expensive, the glasses are way too expensive, etc. etc.
Well, 3D TVs, led by LG and Vizio, TOOK OFF at Christmas, 2011. 3D TVs were available for about $100 more than their 2D counterparts. LG and Vizio TVs DO NOT REQUIRE the expensive, battery operated glasses.
My LG TV came with 8 pairs. (And I'm told that the same glasses you use at 3D movies work on my TV)
IT IS TIME FOR UVERSE TO STEP UP THEIR PROGRAMMING TO INCLUDE 3D.
I got UVerse a year and a half ago because they offered more. At this point, THEY OFFER LESS AND ARE MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE.
Never really wanted to have a dish on my house, but .....

You have posted on two threads about your unhappiness with U-Verse regarding the lack of 3D and the higher amounts U-Verse is costing you. If I were in your shoes, I would switch to a provider that has a lower cost and more 3D.
As far as people on this forum know, there are no plans for U-Verse to add more 3D channels. I, personally, am very happy with U-Verse.
Lately, everyone who is new to this forum seems to be so angry.
Owning a computer and not having the internet is like buying a refrigerator and not stocking it with food.

NBC To Broadcast London Olympics in 3D | NBC New York
Until you read something on this site, or possibly something else official, it's all speculation.

It seems the only people who come here to shill for 3D programming are those one-post or two-post wonders who in my opinion are really trolls who come here to put down people who don't like 3D programming. More proof that 3D is only for shallow people who don't have an issue buying expensive toys that are out of reach for most people.

So ... saying people who like 3D TV are shallow isn't putting people down either, right?
Oh, and we got our 72" Mitsubishi 3DTV for $700 new
If you don't like it or are a late adopter, that's your choice, but the rest of us would like to progress without you - if you don't mind

My comment was in response to another one-post wonder who posted in a separate thread saying with 3D TV, "there are two types of consumers, those who want it and those who can't afford it."
In other words, she posted a judgemental comment that people who don't want 3D TV are poor who can't afford one anyway.
So I feel my comment that such people are shallow is justified.

OK - it just seemed like you were throwing all fans of 3D TV under the same bus.

It looks like most new HDTVs state they are 3D-ready, so this is a setting you can turn on/off?

O.K.
Does the 3D on U-Verse even work?
We just purchased a Sony Bravia 3D with BRD Player and everything looks great.
I went to Starz 3D On Demand and played "Finding Nemo", all I get is a split screen or 2 16 x 4.5 images.
Tech support seemed a little confused about my issue.
