If your regional Sales Department if not aware of the 4 HD profile, my guess it that it is not yet available in your market. If it were available in your market, I'm sure that the salespeople would be aware of it because when it is introduced to a market, all new customers who qualify are placed on that profile. When it is introduced in a market, existing customers have to call to request the upgrade until at some point the upgrade is automatically released to existing customers.

Using your TV remote: Menu --> Options --> System Options --> System information --> System resources
What are your WAN Profile and Ingress Profile?

Are you sure that is correct? That would be 5 total streams. U-verse only allows 4 total streams.

The only ones that I know for sure are the Austin and Dallas markets. I may have seen others reported on the forum, but I do not recall what they might be.

Here is one more market:

As of Sunday I now have the following: WAN Profile 0 SD/4 HD & Ingress Profile 1 SD/3 HD
All I had to do is call UVERSE Tech Support. By the way, I live in the Orlando. FL area."

I sent off an email earlier this week to Uverse Care re: the 4HD/0SD profile AND upgrading my ingress profile from 2HD/2SD to 3HD/1SD as my WAN profile is 3HD/1SD (on UV Class 11 profile, 32/5) and here's the reply I got (I live in metro Atlanta area):
This is ****with U-Verse Tier II Technical Support. First off I do want to thank you for e-mailing the U-Verse Care Social Media Support Group where our goal is to get your issue resolved as soon as possible. I’ve checked over your account, and unfortunately this is currently not available in your area, however we are testing it right now, and if everything goes well you should see this available over the next few months. In the meantime is there anything else I can do for you today?
I later had it confirmed that this comment appled to both the 4HD profile as well as getting my ingress profile to where I can record 3HD programs.

HaroldT was the one who posted from Orlando.
I'm in Dallas and called TS and they told me it wasn't available yet. I then call the Sales Dept. and got switched over in just a few minutes. I just asked to have my account changed so I could receive 4 HD streams.

When I called Tech Support at 866-465-1496 I told him that I was on the 32/5 profile and I understood that a WAN Profile 0 SD/4 HD & Ingress Profile 1 SD/3 HD was available in some areas and I wondered if it was available in my area. He had to do some digging but within a few minutes he determined it was available and set me up. I rebooted the RG, not sure if this was necessary, then the DVR followed by the 3 STBs.
By the way, what color sox are you a fan of, White or Red? I go for White.

That appears to be correct for the 3 HD profile. See the message below:

Has anyone in California received the upgrade yet? I'm still at 2HD/2SD ingress, with a 3HD/1SD wan. I'm also on the 32/5 profile.

Try a soft reboot of your DVR/STB to see if the Ingress Profile changes.

I've done that about a half dozen times over thepast two weeks, the last one right after I read your post. No change yet. I guess I just want to know if anyone in this state has been upgraded, or has the roll-out not reached here yet.

I came here for clarification of what my HD/SD experience should be based on my profiles. After I started typing, I fiddled around with my TV's and learned some things, but I still wanted to post this for better understanding.
Here is my recent experience: This summer I had been recording 1 HD series on Mondays at 8:00 and 2 HD series on Tuesdays at 8:00 in HD. Back in July, the series I was recording on Mondays was moved to Tuesdays at 8:00, so it stopped recording due to a scheduling conflict. I scheduled that program to start recording in SD while still recording the other two in HD, but I never cancelled the HD channel from my scheduled series recordings.
One Tuesday in August while these programs were recording, I tried to watch something on an SD channel, but got a blue screen saying all of my HD services were in use. I was confused since I was not trying to watch an HD channel at the time, so I checked my recording list. It showed that I was recording the three HD series (but not the SD channel that I had set because of the previous conflict). This must have been right after my service was upgraded, though I only heard last week that U-Verse was doing these kinds of upgrades. One night this week, 3 of my scheduled HD series all aired at the same time again which prohibited me from watching anything on an SD channel from my DVR during that time
As I was typing this message, I learned I can actually record 3 HD channels and 1 SD channel at the same time, but that I only have the option of watching the SD channel from a separate STB while 3 HD channels are recording on the DVR. Below is how my profiles appear in the settings, but from what I have been reading, It sounds like with my Ingress Profile being 2 SD/ 2 HD that I should still be restricted to only 2 HD recordings at a time. Could someone please clarify that my experience is consistent with what my profiles are showing because I am still kind of confused on what the Ingress and Egress profiles actually mean?
WAN Profile: 1 SD/3 HD; Max Bandwidth: 32700000
Ingress Profile: 2 SD/ 2 HD; Ingress Bandwidth: 25800000
Egress Profile: 2000000, 1 SD/2 HD

Your question really does not relate to the topic of this thread which is the new 4 HD Profile. In the future, it would be best to create a new thread.
Here is a link to a message which explains the profiles: Profiles Explained
Also, you may want to reboot your DVR/STB to see if your Ingress Profile changes.

Okay, I understand now the profiles a little better after reading the other thread. Thank you for that link.
I apologize if you felt I was hijacking this thread with a non-related topic. During my web search I read several message board threads regarding the profiles, but none of them answered my question and the discussions had all ended several months ago. This was the first thread I came across that was still an ongoing discussion regarding anything profile-related, so I figured this would be the best place to get an answer. Once again, thank you for the help, and I will let you guys get back to your discussion about the 4 HD profile.

It's so nice to be able to use the forum for reliable info! Got upgraded to 4 HD streams this morning (9-20-10) in Fort Worth. The TS agent I spoke with was very nice. She said she didn't know it was out yet, but she would see what she could do. After about 3 minutes, she came back and said everything was all set. I waited about 10-15 minutes, reset the boxes, and everything is great!
Nice not to have to always wait for everything to be rolled out on AT&T's schedule.

Go to this post and download SomeJoe's Uverse Realtime; paste copies your stats for review.

I posted on this thread when it was only 2-3 pages long; before anyone recommended calling the Sales Dept. I had called TS to get upgraded and was told I could but my bill had just went due the day prior so he told me to call back after I paid my bill. I did so yesterday. The first TS Rep I got took forever and then told me it wasn't available unless I lowered my Internet speed. She told me to try back in 5-7 business days. Unsatisfied, I called again and got a very nice guy that within 3 mins said I was taken care of and I would now be on the 0/4. I was at work so I wasn't able to reboot anything. I get home and all boxes still show 1/3 max, 2/2 ingress. Max bw was still over 32M. I reset all boxes and still the same. I rebooted the modem (power cord) and now all boxes show 1/3 max, 1/3 ingress, but now my max bw is 26.9M. Did they lower my profile from 32/5??? Why are they not showing 0/4? Please help cause I don't wanna call again, but if I do, from the looks of the thread now, I'll be called Sales not TS. Thanks, AA
