Trying to watch something on AMC and it doesn't exist on my u450 service. I thought I remember seeing it on the channel list when I got the service. But channel 795 is not there now . Does anyone know if it is coming back to Louisville, KY? Or what the status is? I have been looking around on the AMC site, googling, etc and I can't find an answer. The Walking Dead are coming and it needs to be watched....

The contract was just signed yesterday. I haven't seen anything indicating what the terms of the deal were. All I can say is have a little patience. I know it's not a simple "flip of a switch" .. but you can bet AT&T will move as fast as they can on whatever they are able to do.

See this SomeJoe post on the ATT/Rainbow settlement:

Have to agree 100% on his take of what possibly happened and there may be hope for you. ![]()

ts937km,
I live in New Albany and U-Verse just became available here in our area. How has your experience been so far with U-Verse? How did your install go and how does your HD picture look. Thanks

I've been a happy UVerse customer for about 2.5 years. I get more services for less than I'd pay my local cable company (regular prices - not limited time special deals), have had many new channels added, and have had only one price increase. My install was on-time and complete in a few hours (they ran a new wire for my DSL, as the existing phone wiring in my house was a bit iffy). My service has been reliable and am happy with the HD. Out of fairness, others have complained about HD pixelation when there is a lot of movement on the screen (sports action closeups) which may be exagerated on larger screens. One warning - check the channel line up for your area on the website before ordering service, especially if you have a favorite channel you can't live without. Rumor has it the sales people can be, ahem, less than accurate.

HD with UV has hotten better since I first got installed in 08, but still not as good as DISH or DirecTV. In my area, only 2 HD streams which means if you have 3 or more hd sets someone can't watch in hd. Same goes for recording/ watching. Only 2 hd at a time. This is bad, especially since I'm now gotten my 3rd hd set. I've had some freeze ups and it occurs when watching recorded shows and live tv. NO MLB Network if you are a basebaall fan and as of now some areas(not mine) cant get AMC at all.

I have had it some September 2009 and have been very happy. At my location dish and direct tv would get knocked out by storm. Due to way too many trees. Also have had nopixelation that I had with Dish/Directv. Again probably due to our tree situation.
I get 24mbps down and 3mbps up consistently. They don't throttle the internet at all.
I have had no outages (okay once when we somehow didn't pay the bill for 2 months) Still not quite sure what happened.
To answer your question Picture quality has been very good. I have it on a 65" and have had no issues with the quality at all. Infinetely better than cables on all of the channels.
I agree that we need to be able to record more than 2 channels at once. But it's coming.

They told me "It's Coming" in Oct 2008

Record 3HD at a time? People have posted screen shots of this happening.
It's obviously in beta testing and will be a matter of time until it comes to your area.

What kind of wiring did you have in your house? Did you have Coax cable or do you have CAT 5 or CAT6 wiring? Does it make a difference to which one you have?

I have cat6 and netgear 8 port gigabit switches. Because of other things in my house. Been working great. Makes it a lot easier to move things around and add boxes, etc.

How about the 3 HD recordings at once then.... That was promised to me by AT&T sales almost a year ago.
