I WAS JUST NOTIFIED THAT IN SOUTH FLORIDA I WILL BE GETTING MSG AND A COUPLE OF OTHER SPORTS CHANNELS AND 2011 NBA LEAGUE PASS AND NBA NETWORK, NHL CENTER ICE AND MLB NETWORK AND EXTRA INNINGS. I DIDNT BELIEVE IT SO I CHECKED WITH THE LEAGUES PARTICULARLY THE NBA WHICH I WORKED FOR AND IT WAS CONFIRMED THEY ARE CLOSE TO AGREEMENTS WITH ALL. SO I FOR ONE WILL SMILE GREATLY WHEN THIS OCCURS AND ROOT FOR EVERYONE WHO WANTS SOMETHING FROM UVERSE.  AND FOR THE ONE POST WONDERS  STOP CLOGGING THE FORUM WITH OBVIOUS GARBAGE. NOW ITS ALL HOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It becomes stupid to post sometimes.  If you post something negative your a troll.  I had people in my area yesterday and they had copies of new channel cards and offers for new customers.  They had programming for some of the sports alt. channels and I watched a game on there last night.  it was a college football game replay but it was something.  So if they lie to me now i will give up but I will give them the benefit of the doubt.  And if Info is BS then I will just watch the rest post and complain.  I will just decide by Uverse's actions.  They follow through I am here for the long term. They screw me once more Directv is already in my house.  Im out.

Keep in mind that if you do not live in the MSG area (New York CIty), then you will get blackouts when you tune in to live sports.

However, the pre-game shows should be fine.  Assuming the information YELLED AND SCREAMED ABOVE is true, you could (if you wanted) watch the MSG pregame show, then switch over to the Center Ice channel.  You may have to watch your favorite team on the other team's broadcast, but you'd get the game.

I can just see it now:

"I am a Red Wings fan in Oklahoma.  The AT&T sales rep said I could watch my team on Center Ice, but I had to watch the Canucks TV broadcast!!!! WHY?!?!?!? AT&T LYED!!!?"

Yes that would be awesome! Being from NY having MSG and the NBA/NHL packages would be a dream for me. Pregame/postgame/game action all available from the comfort of home. Ok, it may be a dream but a great one if it comes true. With the NHL season starting this weekend it could be interesting indeed to see what happens.

And yes, I can certainly see the Oklahoma Red Wing fan senario happening lol

Yeah, you'd obviously have to change the channel, but it would be possible.

I think the satellite providers used to offer the "raw feeds" of MLS games.  THOSE were awesome.  When they'd go to commercial, you'd see random shots of the crowd, and get to hear the announcers talking with the producers in the truck.

Hopefully (probably not) AT&T can get these raw feeds.  I'd be happy with the games.

My cousin is not a NY Yankee fan, but he lives in Yankee terrority.  He'll watch his team's pregame and postgame shows on the satellite sports pack, then switch to his team's game on Extra Innings.  It may be the opposing team's commentary, but he still gets to watch the game.  When the game ends, it's back to the Sports Pack for the postgame show.

IIRC, these packages usually take the home team's commentary, but this can vary.  RDS (French Canadian "version" of ESPN is rarely used) and there may be other factors thrown in.

I'll still believe it when I see it.

In the 80's I had one of the big dishes at my house and was able to get the raw feeds that you speak of before the advent of all the sports packages. That was great. You could find any game you wanted. Those were the days.

Did you have to pay for access or was everything free?

There was a basic charge per month for the signal but all the programing I found was free as far as I remember. You could also pick up the signals for the weekly shows like Jerry Springer, Maury, judge shows, things like that. You could sit there and watch the next weeks shows while they ran for the stations to pick up.

Are they going to add Center Ice? Who knows! The 2010-2011 season has already started with games being played in Europe by a few NHL teams this afternoon. The rest begin tonight and there's no way they're going to have it in time for that. I haven't even seen any channel space set aside for it yet. My guess is if they do add it, it'll be at the end of this month when the season is 3 weeks old and they can still charge customers a full season price. But, I doubt they will add it since it would be so beneficial to have right when the season starts, not a month down the road, or longer. But, maybe they are going to add NBA stuff by Nov 1st since that's when their season starts.

I gave that thought as they were giun house to house and I didnt see anyones trucks out there so I asked for ID and they produced ATT and Bellsouth IDs so I was satisfied they were seriously from Att.  The problem I have is not with the people who were smart, were able to answer questions about other topics then sports, they brought up the mistakes that they had made , Verizon had made and there long term advantage with finer optics even though there were issues about money involved there.  I was impressed that they took the time to lay out the reasons that the company was in for the long haul, and money with risk reward based on there investment was at the top.  But no matter what you say in this forum , and I have heard it myself , no matter what is said , you or the company raise expectations and reward must be immediate or your some idiot who is stupid and made to be a fool for believing they might be telling the truth. IT really isnt worth being mocked and laughed at by some and others getting excited.  It is each persons decision to believe or not and who to give your money too.  It just isnt worth the BS to tell people the truth.  Because to some it will always be synical.  Enjoy yourselves.  Att gave me every discount and when I threatened to go to DTV for sports they discounted the basic package. That showed me maybe they are serious about what they say and if some think thats funny the jole isnt on me.  Good Hunting all.  I will watch and wait on the sidelines.
