ATT UVERSE TAKING CHANNELS AWAY FROM YOUR LINE-UP (RINGS OF COMCAST TACTICS)

I have the U-Verse 200 package and really enjoyed watching channel 189 "Current" channel.  However, when I tuned in the other night a message said I was not subscribed to that channel. Well I was,  but alas ATT has taken that channel away from us lowly 200 customers and given it to the 300-package customers.  They didn't notify me, or offer me a few dollars off my bill for lost service, nada!!!   This is why I left Comcast, however, thinking of going back to Comcasyt,because at least their DVR worked.

I like 300 package i have it my self have not had any recording issues the reason i like is is you get NFL , NBA , MLB networks plus Starz and Showtime 300 package is worth it love watching Dexter and Homeland .

They've also added many other channels. In addition, this news had been reported on before Thanksgiving.

AND... Last I checked, I still had Current on my U-200 lineup.

The Current move was already talked about here extensively. And AT&T posted about it on November 1.

Hope you enjoy the "new" Comcast if you go back. They just added to their HD lineup by taking AWAY from their HD lineup. On their latest "maxed out" systems, they added Ovation HD, Fox Soccer HD, Bloomberg HD, and about 4-5 others .... BUT! they TOOK AWAY anywhere from 5-8 of the Premium channels in HD, supposedly "moving" those channels' HD movies over to On Demand. But, tell me ..... if Cinemax and Showtime already program their VOD movies nationally, how can Comcast get them to add the HD versions of what's shown on ActionMax or Showtime Extreme separately, if they're not cleared for VOD to begin with?

Actually, Current just basically shut down their original-production crew about two weeks ago due to money troubles (story was in the NYTimes). So, just like Hallmark, after signing Olberblob and Jennifer "The Mole" Granholm to big contracts, they can't seem to get viewers to keep the bills getting paid ..... so they just ask the subscribers -- through AT&T's contract -- to pony up more money.

** And, pssttt ... Comcast is doing their annual price increase next month as well. Uverse is only going up $3, Comcast is going up close to $10 on average. Plus if you like those additional premium HD channels from Cinemax and Showtime, they'll still be here. Not over at Comcast, though.
