Asked for 18 meg cable.

Hi,

Just had uverse installed and had requested 18 meg cable along with 5 tv install. Whole house dvr set up.

When I checked my speed I noticed around 11 meg. Tech told me that each box was pulling from a 25 meg profile and that I would probably never see 18 meg on the internet. Makes sense to me, couple of meg per box. Just thought to ask about a little higher profile and he mentioned they could not do that.

Downloaded the UV realtime and the raw data seems to say my download would handle it, but my upload seems a little low from the other post I have read. I did also notice some users get higher upload raw numbers after they get the higher profile. My router page shows the aggregate to be higher or high enough to support the 32/5 profile.

I know my distance could be an automatic no on the profile, but will they not try since they said I could have 18 meg cable? No way I can support the boxes in the house and ever have 18 on the net.

From the screencap on the dsl page my rate cap looks to be set at 12 already. Is this right? I signed up for 18.

I hope I have provided the right info in the following screencaps. Please let me know if I need to provide anything else and Thank you for any help you can provide.

What profile does the UVRT say you have? Is it shown in red or green?

You have a bonded pair install, with an iNID. I think 25/2 is the only profile normally used for an iNID install.

You got an iNID because you were so far away from your VRAD that they thought you needed one. 2700 feet is about where they start doing them.
