The Dell setup does not recognize my Dell 1350cnw printer. I printed a printer settings page from the printer's menu but the Network settings do not list my TCP or IP adddress which the printer setup is asking for.
HELP!
Matt

The RG lists devices here - http://192.168.1.254/
If your printer is connected to the network & you can tell whicj item it is - the IP address is under details.

It's not listed at that address. I hooked up the printer via a USB cable from the printer to the router and it works. But, I was under the impression, perhaps wrongly, that I wouldn't need to run any cable except the power cable for the printer to work. Am I wrong?

mjaeky5 - You are probably correct that you should be able to get it to work wireless. Isn't that what you are trying to do?
I tried to view a manual to see if I could help. But, it does not seem to be directly available. I suggest you call Dell for help seting up the wireless.

That's the weird part. I would think that beyond the power cord to the printer, there should be no other cords, even the cord from printer to the router should be unecesssary.
Thanks for your help.

I have never set up this particular printer. However, with another wired printer, I found that I had to initially set it up with a wired connection, and then it could connect wirelessly.
Your Printer, Mileage and Results may vary.
