Change broadband/WAN/public/gateway IP address on the Motorola NVG510

Broadband/WAN/public/gateway IP address is the IP address that other people on the internet see.

With my old router, I used to change my broadband/WAN/public/gateway IP address by simply restarting the router. But restarting the Motorola NVG510 router does not change my broadband/WAN/public/gateway IP address. My IP is dynamic.

Tech support is useles. The agents don't even know what a broadband IP is or have never heard of the Motorola NVG510.

Although your service with AT&T may be called dynamic, Uverse is actually pseudo static in that it will rarely change, if ever.

I think they say the IP address is (or may be) dynamic so subscribers won't count on it being static (and maybe so they can charge extra for static). It worked on me; I pay extra for static addresses.
