Is it possible that using OpenDNS could disconnect the phone lines on UVerse? I switched to Open DNS today and now all my phone jacks are dead. I made the change on my Mac's Network settings.
HELP!!!!!!

You do not say if the jacks were operational after U-verse install. I suspect they were not.
You do not say if you have U-voice or POTS.
If you have POTS - there is a phone jack in the NID. If that jack has dial tone the phone is not wired into your house.
If you have U-voice - check the phone jack on the RG. If there is dial tone it needs to be wired from there back into your house wiring.
If you do not have dial tone at the NID or RG call for service.
If you do have dial tone coming into the house - house wiring is generally supported unless you have wiring maintenance service. Maybe you can do something under an incomplete install.

Hi, thank you for your response about the phone situation!
First, the phones were working after the UVerse setup. There have only been problems in the last two weeks with the phones (UV was set up about 6 weeks ago). The setup here is actually a little conviluted because there is a POTS line (working w/dial tone) and another VOIP line for the UVerse number. Last week, two of the VOIP jacks went dead and a tech came out and fixed a wire on the box at the back of the house. It was fine for about 5 days until yesterday when all UV phone jacks went dead (coinciding with my switch to OpenDNS). There is no dial tone coming from the RG for the UVerse phone either.
I'm not exactly sure what all this means but this service has been a nightmare from the word "go". I've yet to speak to one customer service person (and I've been on the phone with 13 of them, including the Office of the President - pfffft) who has a thorough working knowledge of this service (U-Verse). I'm ready to pull out all of this equipment and throw it into the street then take out a full page ad in the NY Times proclaiming AT&T the worst company in the UniVerse.
I thank you for your help. You are the first person who seems to have a solid grasp on the issues around any of this.

The U-voice signal has a dedicated, highest priority, segment on the broadband signal. Looks like someone turned of your number. Have you tried calling it to see what you get?
Can you look at your voice mail on line?
You do need service. Try the main number again. If it does not work send a Personal message to ATTAlexCM using the blue envelope upper right. Send your acct # & contact #

Have you tried rebooting the RG? Pull the power supply for about 30 seconds, plug it back in and let everything sycn up. It may or may not help but it's worth a try.
