I had the EPIX channel with DISH for about a couple of months. It really wasn't that good. And most of the stuff they show is available to stream on Netflix. Their ROKU feature had mostly duplicates from Netflix. U-Verse's current movie channel offerings are all better than Epix.

I have requested the channel on more than one occasion. You can try it if you like but I have allways thought that channel request website is a bit of a scam.

Just because you don't get what you requested, does not make it a scam. Just sayin' I want BBC HD and have requested it, but I'm not getting it, but that is not because the request site is a "scam" it's because they are NOT ADDING it!! LOL ![]()

Think of the channel request link as a "poll" as to what channels you would like to see in the future. If a large number of customers request a certain channel, theoretically, AT&T would (should?) consider adding that channel.

Ish Kabibble wrote:I have requested BBC America HD every time I went there. If what was said here in the previous posts is true AR&T looked at the the site earlier this year and found a bunch of requests for FuseHD, NGWHD and Fox SoccerHD. Sorry I'm not buying that. If anyone wants to fill out the survey go ahead. I still think it's a waste of time.
No one is forcing you to fill out the survey. If you don't want to make an official channel request using that website, don't do it.

A request is considered when enough people (not one individual) submit requests for a feature. However the requests alone is not going to get the channel, It also has to do with whatever rate they can negotiate with that network provider and if it conflicts with deals they've negotiated with other companies.
It's not a scam, there are just other factors to consider.

I just came to Uverse from Charter and we had epix at charter. Trust me it is not that great. Netflix has made an agreement with epix to stream their movies on Netflix. Also keep in mind the epix is a premium channel and costs and extra 10.00 per month. I kept it at Charter for 2 months then dropped it. They have very little original content and all the movies they show are from Lion Gate and are available through Netflix. So I would not worry about not having epix.
