For the past 2-3 days I have been having a major problem with my internet's speed. At random, the speed of the internet drops to almost nothing (http://www.speedtest.net/result/2025983741.png) and stays that way until I restart the modem. At first, it would take a long time before the problem arose again. It has becoming more and more frequent (A shorter time between modem restarts) and as I am typing this it just dropped within 5 minutes of a restart. (http://www.speedtest.net/result/2025985493.png). This does happen to all devices in my house. Is there any reason this would be happening? I'd hate to think that AT&T is intentionally throttling me, but you never know. I either have or can get any information you need to help me fix this problem, just ask.
Thanks in advance.

the second bracket added itself into the hyperlinks.
I am plugged in to the cable box with an ethernet cable, so it is not a wireless problem.

I wonder if AT&T is purposly installing us faulty modems (I am currently using i3812V) that needs to be recalled because I am having the same exact problem with my Uverse service. It would be nice to hear the response from an AT&T worker explaining us how to fix this problem, or admit that theirs something wrong with the i3812V modems that their giving to us.

For your type of service, iNID or FTTN-BP (bonded pair), the i3812Vs are the only interior modems available. There's an outside unit that corrosponds with the inside unit. You can have multiple inside units installed by a technician to act as a branching internal wireless network. With your type of service, ATT doesn't swap those dummy modems through UPS like normal swaps, but are done with a dispatch to your premise.
Furthermore, what information do you have to suggest it's a faulty modem? The issue, from what I see, is slow browse. That could be an issue with the computer, the cabling to the inside modem, the inside modem itself, the cabling to the outside modem, the outside modem, the line running to your VRAD, a logical issue, a networking issue... too many possibilities without actually having someone run tests on the equipment and isolating the issue.
iNIDs are a little bit more complex to diagnose as well because there's two copper pairs running to the house.

I'm on my third modem, and have had to restart my modem on a daily basis, what would that suggest! My laptop has wireless connect and has issues also, my router checks out OK? I am totally lost and frustrated with att
