Looks like they took away the free NBC Prime time shows.
Any one else seeing this?

I wonder how much of that $1 is for "network infrastructure costs" or however you want to say it. Also, would my $1 per show get me the show 100% commercial-free? Keep in mind, even if you hook Hulu up to a TV, you're still going to get a commercial.

I would say yes they do....in the future. That sale is going to take a while to complete. I would say Comcast will actually have control over NBC/Universal sometime next year. According to the reports I have seen in the newspapers.

I have a great idea for U-Verse: How about Hulu on the STB! Yeah baby!
You already have a DVR that can record 4 shows at a time. Coming next year is a DVR that can record 3 HD shows at the same time.
The DVR does have internet capability, right? Hulu..internet..hmmm maybe something can be done by the user on their end? Heck, the capability already exists now to hook a computer up to a TV.

I love my DVR but can it record a past show (not counting a rerun or reair)? How many times has someone said "did you watch xxxxx last night? It was great!" OR - what about a show that runs late because of a press conference or a late ending sporting event? That is where Hulu would be nice on the STB. Don't stop there U-Verse. If you can put Hulu on it, you can put Youtube, Netflix and so on, on it, too.

Can ANY DVR record a past show? Like I said, why not use a regular computer to access Hulu, YouTube, or whatever?
If sporting event runs late, your DVR has a feature where you can manually specifiy a recording end time. Use it. Love it.

Because I don't want to.
I'm hopeful that someday UV will bridge the gap beyond simply offering TV via channels and DVR. If they don't do, somebody will. I really want Mediashare to stream videos from my PC, like XBox 360 does. After all, they are ran off of the same platform.
