All right, if you'd like a review of your behavior in this thread, we can certainly do that.
First, you seem to be unaware that this is a peer-to-peer forum. That means that all the people who post here are just ordinary people, just like you. Most have the U-Verse service, although some don't. AT&T does not interact with customers on this forum. AT&T may (behind the scenes) monitor (NOT moderate) this forum for items of interest, but they will not post or otherwise respond to anything here.
The company that runs and moderates this forum is Lithium. TreyW (the moderator here) is a Lithium employee. She is here to moderate the discussions, she is not an AT&T representative.
So, your post where you threatened to leave unless FSC+ gets carried is kind of useless. No one from AT&T will see it or react.
fundamentals basically told you this, and your response was to personally attack him, telling him to "get off the thread". That is a violation of forum rules.
Other people then questioned the operation of the forum, which TexasGuy then explained (quite accurately and succinctly).
Then out of nowhere, you accuse him of being an AT&T employee. Those of us who frequent this forum and have been here a long time consider that a deep insult. We are not "AT&T shills", "Kool-Aid drinkers", "Fanboys", or "Employees". We attempt to share knowledge with you that is helpful, and for our efforts, you personally insult and attack us. This is your 2nd violation of the forum rules.
Then after that, you still have the misnomer that somehow we are moderators of some type. We are not "moderators" or "U-Verse people". Again, this is a peer-to-peer forum, and we are end-customers of U-Verse just like you.
smccleod1106 also seems to read things that are not there. Nowhere in this thread have I or TexasGuy or anyone else suggested that everyone who doesn't like U-Verse needs to pack up and leave.
The fact of the matter is that your posting that pre-announces your intent to cancel is not going to get you FSC+ any faster. That's all that we're trying to tell you. If you think otherwise, you're sadly mistaken. It is well known that AT&T does not share their plans to get certain channels. No one here knows with any level of confidence when FSC+ will arrive, if it will arrive, or even if negotiations are going on at all. I wish we did, but AT&T will not share that information.
What I do know is that if you violate the forum rules a 3rd time with some type of personal insult, it's likely to get you banned from the forum.
Well said. There are roughly 10 maybe 15 avid soccer fans on the boards here that are threatening to leave because of FSC and/or FSC+, did you folks ever think that it's just not profitable to include those channels? If I were to take a guess I'd say that less than 1% of U-verse customers would ever turn to that channel. If it increases my bill, I don't want it included as I personally will not be turning it on. I'm sure the millions of other U-Verse users would feel the same knowing that their bill is going up for a channel they don't watch. Direct TV quit carrying Versus because they were demanding too much money, U-Verse has it and for hockey fans it's probably the best it's going to get minus the regional sports channels. Direct TV has sole ownership on NFL Sunday Ticket so that's not an option, Center Ice may not be around much longer as it's veiwership has declined. The main reason I went to Direct TV when I did was for NASCAR Hot Pass, After the first year of having it, I'm glad I didn't have to pay for the 2nd year as it went downhill fast. I don't miss it on U-Verse as I am happy with my service. Most of the premiums sports packages are seeing declining veiwership and probably won't be around too much longer as they are money losing ventures. In these tough economic times, unneeded channels are the first things to get dropped.
Who knows if U-Verse will ever match the satellite providers for sports content. For most, it's not a deal breaker.
