Sorry for the misspelling.
Yes, there are other threads where I have noticed that some people engage in that "if you don't like it, leave" attitude. I, for the record, do not agree with that. I would much rather see people get their problems solved than be forced to switch to another provider. I haven't and won't tell anyone that they need to like it or leave it.
I do believe that there are a few AT&T employees here, although for their own good, they generally keep that fact a secret. AT&T actually instructs their employees not to post here because AT&T doesn't want this forum to be used as an official conduit of communication between the customers and AT&T. However, none of the posters on this forum that are community leaders (CLs) are AT&T employees as far as I know.
I completely agree that sports programming is the area where U-Verse is weakest and where a lot of TV programming complaints originate. If I had a magic wand, I'd correct that. ![]()
But I do also believe that people, even though they're frustrated with service/programming/etc., need to keep a level head on the forum and not let these frustrations become personal or accusatory.

i only signed up for u-verse because they had the soccer channels.....setanta is down .....i am very upset that i could not get to watch the games i wanted to watch today......i think it is reasonable and good business to have both fsc plus and fsc in HD...i am not opposed to finding these programs elsewhere if that is what i am forced to do....i will start making calls later this week ....

All right, if you'd like a review of your behavior in this thread, we can certainly do that.
First, you seem to be unaware that this is a peer-to-peer forum. That means that all the people who post here are just ordinary people, just like you. Most have the U-Verse service, although some don't. AT&T does not interact with customers on this forum. AT&T may (behind the scenes) monitor (NOT moderate) this forum for items of interest, but they will not post or otherwise respond to anything here.
The company that runs and moderates this forum is Lithium. TreyW (the moderator here) is a Lithium employee. She is here to moderate the discussions, she is not an AT&T representative.
So, your post where you threatened to leave unless FSC+ gets carried is kind of useless. No one from AT&T will see it or react.
fundamentals basically told you this, and your response was to personally attack him, telling him to "get off the thread". That is a violation of forum rules.
Other people then questioned the operation of the forum, which TexasGuy then explained (quite accurately and succinctly).
Then out of nowhere, you accuse him of being an AT&T employee. Those of us who frequent this forum and have been here a long time consider that a deep insult. We are not "AT&T shills", "Kool-Aid drinkers", "Fanboys", or "Employees". We attempt to share knowledge with you that is helpful, and for our efforts, you personally insult and attack us. This is your 2nd violation of the forum rules.
Then after that, you still have the misnomer that somehow we are moderators of some type. We are not "moderators" or "U-Verse people". Again, this is a peer-to-peer forum, and we are end-customers of U-Verse just like you.
smccleod1106 also seems to read things that are not there. Nowhere in this thread have I or TexasGuy or anyone else suggested that everyone who doesn't like U-Verse needs to pack up and leave.
The fact of the matter is that your posting that pre-announces your intent to cancel is not going to get you FSC+ any faster. That's all that we're trying to tell you. If you think otherwise, you're sadly mistaken. It is well known that AT&T does not share their plans to get certain channels. No one here knows with any level of confidence when FSC+ will arrive, if it will arrive, or even if negotiations are going on at all. I wish we did, but AT&T will not share that information.
What I do know is that if you violate the forum rules a 3rd time with some type of personal insult, it's likely to get you banned from the forum.
Well said. There are roughly 10 maybe 15 avid soccer fans on the boards here that are threatening to leave because of FSC and/or FSC+, did you folks ever think that it's just not profitable to include those channels? If I were to take a guess I'd say that less than 1% of U-verse customers would ever turn to that channel. If it increases my bill, I don't want it included as I personally will not be turning it on. I'm sure the millions of other U-Verse users would feel the same knowing that their bill is going up for a channel they don't watch. Direct TV quit carrying Versus because they were demanding too much money, U-Verse has it and for hockey fans it's probably the best it's going to get minus the regional sports channels. Direct TV has sole ownership on NFL Sunday Ticket so that's not an option, Center Ice may not be around much longer as it's veiwership has declined. The main reason I went to Direct TV when I did was for NASCAR Hot Pass, After the first year of having it, I'm glad I didn't have to pay for the 2nd year as it went downhill fast. I don't miss it on U-Verse as I am happy with my service. Most of the premiums sports packages are seeing declining veiwership and probably won't be around too much longer as they are money losing ventures. In these tough economic times, unneeded channels are the first things to get dropped.
Who knows if U-Verse will ever match the satellite providers for sports content. For most, it's not a deal breaker.

I guess everyone is sort of missing the point here. I wanted FSC in HD because U-verse already carries the non-HD channel and I was told by someone at U-verse that since they carry the non-HD version that when the HD channel becamse available we would automatically recieve it.
You guys and gals need to put away the bickering here and stick to the subject. Here is the direct line to the U-verse exec offices. Please call this line (if you are a legimate U-verse customer) and voice your opinion. They need to hear from us. 1-800-592-5386

They haven't added any HD channels recently. I'm still waiting for U-Verse to add Telefutura HD. It makes no sense that U-verse doesn't have it yet and Time Warner has had it for almost 3 months now. They MUST have it before the FIFA games.

CBS College Sports HD (channel 1643) was added to the U-verse lineup on February 18th (i.e. 17 days ago). Seems pretty recent.

There should be a good amount of HDVOD arriving anytime now as well... all in good time.

YES, PLEASE give us FSC in HD and FSC Plus! I HATE watching FSC in SD, and I will definitely go back to Comcast if I can't get the channels I want.

If you and your family love soccer you are at with a wrong provider. I have switched to Direct TV (TV only, still keep Internet, Phone and Basic TV with AT&T). I love soccer and this was the only reason, nothing againts U-verse otherwise. Here is what I have got: FSC and FSC+ in HD, GolTV in HD (Spanish, France and Germany soccer).
Direct TV has 12 special dedicated channels for Champions League games and Europa Cup games.
They show every game of these tournaments, so you will be able to pick up any game you want to watch or just jump at some games. They also have several dedicated channels for LaLiga games in addition to GolTV.
FSC+ is a premium channel ($14.99/month). All other channels are free. Watching soccer in HD is well worth the switch. I am keeping a basic U-verse TV because of the stories I've heard about weather interruption of satellite service. I have since beginning of September and never had any problem during heavy thunderstoms and snow storms. If the satellite dish is alighned properly, no problem at all so far.
I was waiting for AT&T for at least adding FSC+, since March 2010, when they have dropped Setanta. Never came. By September I was with DirectTV.

I thought that Setanta went out of business, or am I thinking of a soccer channel with a similar name?
Owning a computer and not having the internet is like buying a refrigerator and not stocking it with food.

You are absolutely right about Setanta. It went out of business in February 2010 and is replaced by FSC+.
Originally it was looking like FSC+ will be brought by U-verse on March. They even have assigned a Channel number for it, but apparently they did not agree on a price so FSC+ never came. I was waiting till September until switching to Direct TV. I have no problem with U-verse for not bringing FSC+ or providing soccer channels in HD. This is a business for profit and if they feel it will not bring them enough profit they will not do it. DirectTV apparently thinks otherwise. After seeing soccer in HD, no way I want ever watch it as a regular broadcast.

It is a shame that U-verse has apparently decided not to try and challenge DirecTv/Comcast because I think they could be the top service out there. But not if they simply abidicate the sport fan to the other services.

In 2010, U-verse added the following sports programming:
1. CBS College Sports
2. The Tennis Channel
3. ESPN 3D
4. NBA-TV
5. Out of market RSN's in HD
Perhaps none of this is sports programming that you are interested in, but there was definitely an upgrade in available sports programming. No reason to think the trend will not continue.

From my experience with both DirectTV and U-verse, nobody would come even close to DirectTv regarding sport coverage. However, U-verse has more premium channels available: They have more HBO, Cinemax and Showtime channels than DirectTV. So it is really a customer choice: If you like more choice in premium channels, U-verse would win, if you are more sport oriented, DirectTV is a place to be.

Millions of subscribers are still waiting on ATT to get their act together. Hadn't seen any recent posts on here and as the new Premier League is starting up - its something that needs to be resurrected.
In response to comments made regarding Soccer viewership in the USA, its increasing exponentially. NBC is getting on board airing more games in the coming season. It will not be long before it overtake baseball. I can't wait.....

Perhaps you should pay closer attention. See the thread below.
http://forums.att.com/t5/TV-Programming/New-Channe
By the way, U-vers only has 3.4 million TV customers. Only a small percentage are soccer fans, thus, I doubt that "millions of subscribers" have been waiting.

Most of these complainers have got to be "plants" from other companies. IF you have U-verse and you haven't seen the new channels you've been waiting for since they went live WEEKS AGO, then you must just be real slow.

And what are "we" waiting on them for? Let's see, they have FSC, FSC HD, FSC +, FSC + HD, GOLtv, GOLtv HD? Looks like plenty of opportunities to watch soccer.
