Fox Sports North college hockey game programming Sat 3-24 @ 12:30pm? [ Edited ]

I just checked my channel guide on Uverse and TVguide.com in my zip code with uverse selected and it shows that Saturday 3-24 @ 12:30pm central time that there is "paid programming" and then at 1:00pm there is some highschool wrestling programming.  

At 12:30pm Saturday 3-24 with other cable providers in other areas of the country (as shown on tvguide.com using other zip codes and other cable providers ) the NCAA West regional college hockey semifinal is showing live.  

Is this just a screwup with the program guide, or is this hockey game really not airing on Uverse in my location, even though everywhere else in the country gets to watch this game?  If uverse has made some decision to not show this game in my area i am going to absolutely flip, I really hope that is not the case as this is the ONLY game I care about (my alma mater) and yet all the other NCAA college hockey games this weekend that are televised (and all the games last weekend including this particular channel) showed as normal.

Someone please tell me this is just a program guide screwup, and they're not preempting a nationally televised NCAA hockey game for an infomercial and a taped wrestling match...  please.

U-verse does not control the programming content on the RSN's.  Whatever programming the RSN sends them will be aired.  The only exception would be if programming needs to be blacked out in certain areas due to league, conference or team restrictions.  When this occurs, you would see a message on the screen that the programming is blacked out as opposed to seeing alternate programming.

If the hockey game is to be aired at that time, the Guide may not be updated.  Maybe is will corrected when the Guide is updated tonight.

I have a question about  "whatever programming the RSN sends them will be aired".  

In your experience (except for blacked out programming) do you know if a particular RSN (let's take Fox Sports North for instance since that is the channel in question here) ever "sends" Uverse different programming for one region as opposed to another.  i.e in the same time slot, two different things airing on the SAME RSN in different areas of the country?

I would not guess that this happens, it seems like a ton of unneeded complication, but I am wondering if that is something you have ever seen in your experience?

I am hoping, praying, that this is just a channel guide update issue, and that they aren't preempting probably the most popular college hockey program in the country in the NCAA Sweet 16  (definitely top 3 or top 5) for infomercials and a high school wrestling match that was taped a month ago.

No, not on the same channel.  There maybe a "Plus" channel if the RSN is providing different programming at the same time or the Alternate channels (691/1691 - 699/1699) may be used.

Searching the Guide, I do see that Semifinal #1 will also be shown on Fox Sports Pacific (channel 649) at 12:30 pm CDT and Semifinal #2 will be shown Fox Sports Pacific (channel 649) and Alternate 3 (channel 693/1693) at 4:00 pm CDT.

Yeah, it's not on the "Plus" channel though it's on the main Fox Sports North.  I think it is just a guide mixup.

Channel 649 for me is Fox College Sports and is not part of the same package as the RSNs (RSNs are part of the HD Premium Tier I believe) where as 649 FCS is part of the Sports package which I don't have unfortunately.

Worst fear confirmed.  They are actually showing a ******** fishing boat infomercial instead of this hockey game on Fox Sports North in my region.  I am so angry right now I better stop typing before I get banned from this website.  What a crock...

I show that that game is actually being shown on Fox Sports North Plus (channel 745).  

Where are you located?

I am in 60516 (western chicago suburbs).

All information I was able to find over the last two days was that this game is being shown on regular Fox Sports North (not the "Plus").

Where are you finding info that it is on FSN Plus?

Incidentally, I noticed that in the guide it indicates that channel 1744 is Fox Sports North, but when you go to the actual channel it says "Fox Sports Wisconsin" in the corner.  Not sure what is going on with that.  All other University of North Dakota games all year have been shown on this channel 1744, except this one.

Luckily I have found a good stream online at espn3, but I just don't understand why Uverse Fox Sports North programming is differering from Fox Sports North programming in other parts of the country and on other providers (my father is watching the game right now on Fox Sports North on DirecTV in zip 49071 in michigan.)

That explains why you don't get FSN North Plus since FSN North is not one of your local RSN's.

Don't know what's going on with other providers.  Perhaps they don't receive both FSN North and FSN North Plus so the game is being shown on the one RSN that they do get?

I'm watching the game on Fox College Sports Pacific (channel 649).
