This thread is cracking me up. Mostly because I cancelled Uverse a year ago after it was clear that ATT isn't interested in making a TV deal with the Padres. I'm only hwear because my buddy was trying to find out if he should cancel or not. I went to Directtv and haven't looked back. Good luck ATT customers. Your gonna need it. Lol.

That's kind of a odd comment since DirecTV also could not make a deal to carry the Padres games last season, and this is the first season that DirecTV has carried the Padres games.

I switched to DirectTV because they never promised me verbally that they would have the 2011 season and then renege, like multiple Uverse representatives did. DirectTV reps did say it was likely that they'd have the 2012 season, and sure enough they followed through on that. And so, I have been watching my beloved Padres this season, unlike Uverse customers. :-P
I will never understand people who choose to be corporate apologists, you fanboys always seem to come out of the woodwork in the forums. I get trolling (been known to do a bit of that myself) but I've never understood the mentality of a person that will repeatedly defend a morally bankrupt soul sucking, corporation like AT&T. Doe sit give you a sense of belonging? Fill a void? Maybe the ATT reps send you a private message once and a while thanking you for being a no-charge PR guy and that is somehow fullfilling? I don't get it...

Shaun is not ATT (he's Lithium), so can't answer that question.
Call TS (number in my siggy) and cancel the service. ATT will send boxes and labels for you to return all the equipment.
You'll need to physically take it to a designated UPS store in your area (they provide a list). UPS will scan and pack it up.
Make sure you get a RECEIPT from the UPS store in case the shipment gets lost, so you won't end up paying for the equipment. Good luck!

Looking at the MLB standings I may as well give U Verse a couple of more days. I'll end up saying wait until next year.

Exactly what TWC and Uverse were counting on. I had DirecTV come out but no sight line, so no Padres. I hold out little hope that we'll get it at this point. FSSD has little leverage at this point or at least less than prior to opening day. I cancelled the internet and phone with UVerse and told them the TV was next, they didnt really care. That's big corporations for you.

I've had satellite at the house before they put cable in so it won't be a problem if I decide on Direct TV, they make the best swap for me, they offer 3 receivers so one could go into the motorhome.

Yours is post #265, which (at 10 posts per page) is on page 27. At 20 posts per page, I have it on a different page (14). Maybe you changed your settings such that you get 30 posts per page?

I see the same thing, down from 27 to 9 pages and I did nothing with the settings. The posts seem to all be there, but perhaps having a 27 page thread by default at the top of their message board on this subject is not what Uverse necessarily wants.

Here's the latest. http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2012/apr/17/cable-i
Looks like U-Verse isn't interested. My only hope is that Dish can get it, so I can go back to the crummy service I got from Ygnition cable (they are powered by Dish). At least Dish is actually in contact with FSSD.

It doesn't say they aren't still negotiating, just not very hard. FSW isn't coming down on price and AT&T isn't willing to fork over the money they are demanding.
Love this quote from the writer though:
"At this plodding rate, then, it’s even money as to whether a compromise can be reached before the Padres are eliminated in the National League West."
The way the Padres are playing that should be sometime around the All-Star break.
